Top player to avoid
Dustin Johnson: $11,700 DJ is the world's number one golfer and has been amazing on tour this year. He literally just won last week. That said, I absolutely refuse to pay $11,700 for a single player. This severely reduces your cap and you won't be able to invest in some good players that have a great chance to win. Maybe if I keep saying not to play him, he'll keep winning and play amazing in the Ryder Cup? I don't know guys, I'm just trying to make this ok.
Guy Who will blow your cap but is worth it
Justin Rose - $10,700
What can I say, I LOVE Rosey. He's been the second best golfer on tour this year, and looks to continue to to play at his high level. ZERO missed cuts, 13 Top 10s. 13 TOP 10S!!! Rosey is having an insane season, and I'm hoping it continues this week.
Great value picks
Tommy Fleetwood: $9,200
I wouldn't exactly call this a value pick, but this price is too good to pass up. Tommy has been on an absolute tear this year: 22/24 on cuts, 10 Top 10s, and some great play in the major tournaments. He hasn't missed a cut on the PGA tour since the Wells Fargo in May, and I believe that this is a tournament where he can thrive. Tommy made my lineup last week, and he has proven that he will be in it until he falters.
Brian Harman - $7,000
Yes, I am a lefty. Yes, I love other lefties. And yes, I love Brian Harman because he is a lefty.
MY PICKS
Rosey and Tommy are two big names for cheaper than they probably should be. Same goes for JT here, with that stat line he could be in for a real great week. Kyle Stanley has had a decent year, and Grillo as well. Finally, Brian Harman with 7 top 10s is a great get for 7k. Here's to making some MONEY this week!
